Garth Allen Lewis

1944-2012

Garth Allen Lewis

Garth Allen Lewis, 68, of Moncton passed away on May 22, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital with his loving and devoted wife and family by his side.
Garth was born in Moncton on January 10, 1944 the son of the late Cecil and Elva (Edgar) Lewis. He worked for Standard Auto Glass until his retirement, then after his so called retirement went to work for himself and started his own autoglass and upholstery shop called Can-Do, the saying is true you can't keep a good man down. He was talented in his trade and was held in high regards in the industry. Garth was involved in sports in his earlier years when his health allowed him and he enjoyed golfing and playing hockey. He also loved animals and always had many pets over the years that were precious to him. Garth would want everyone to remember all the good times and think of his hardy laugh when you are down. He loved life and lived life to the fullest. His good character and the kindness of his heart will live with us forever.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Sharron (Steeves) Lewis; son, Damon Lewis (fiancé Joanna) of Moncton; daughters, Deborah Lewis-DeMone (Richard) of Lunenburg, NS and Shelley Lewis of Moncton; his treasured grandchildren, Aubreena and Jacob; sister, Glenda Melanson (Alonzo) of Moncton. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Royce Lewis.
Honoring Garth's own wishes there will be no visitation. A private Memorial Service was held in his memory at the Albert County Funeral Home. Interment was in the Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton,NB.
