Vivian Ferne Campbell
1933-2026
Vivian Ferne Campbell, 93, of Hillsborough, passed away
peacefully at The Moncton Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born in Osborne Corner, New Brunswick, on May 1, 1933, she was the
daughter of the late Peter Milton and Doris (Butland) Chase and was
lovingly raised by her stepfather, Reginald
Chase.
Vivian was truly one of a kind. She
was a fun-loving woman with a warm heart, a generous spirit, and a
wonderful sense of humour.
Throughout her working years, she
enjoyed a variety of jobs that reflected her caring nature. She worked
as a janitor at Caledonia Regional High School, where she always
looked forward to seeing the students each day. She was an exceptional
cook and shared her talents in the kitchen at the Moncton City
Hospital and several local take-outs, lastly worked at Rock's View
Variety. Wherever she worked, Vivian had a remarkable ability to
connect with people. She made friends easily, shared plenty of laughs,
and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know
her.
Vivian found joy in life's simple
pleasures. She loved spending evenings playing BINGO, knitting
something special, enjoying a game of Scrabble, challenging herself
with word puzzles, and trying her luck with scratch tickets. She was
never far from a good cup of tea, and her cigarettes. She was happiest
when she could relax and enjoy the comforts of home.
Vivian's greatest gift was her heart.
She was a mother to many, whether they were family by blood or simply
found their way into her life. She never hesitated to lend a helping
hand, offer honest advice, or simply be there to listen. Anyone who
knew her could count on her for unwavering support when they needed it
most, her door was always open.
Family meant everything to Vivian. She
treasured every opportunity to be part of any special occasion and
family gathering. Nothing brightened her day more than a visit from
those she loved.
Vivian lived a long, full, and
remarkable life. Over the years she witnessed a lot of changes and
embraced each new chapter with vim, vigor, and a positive outlook. She
felt truly blessed to be able to remain in her own home until the very
end with the love and support of her family and homemakers. She leaves
behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless treasured memories
that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
She will be forever loved and deeply
missed by her daughter, Carol Morrisey (Richard) of Hillsborough, and
her son, Shaun Campbell (Sarah) of Curryville. She also leaves behind
her cherished grandchildren, Melinda (Paul), Amanda (Greg), Mitchell
(Tasha), Alyssa (Cody), Kayla (Chad), Deanna, and Emmett, who brought
her endless pride and joy. She was also blessed with beloved
great-grandchildren, Daniel, Evan, Tiffany, Ryan, Kaytie, Anthony,
Mackaden, Dakoda, Skyler, DJ, Summer, Cydney, Addison, Aubrey, and
Daniel, and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of another precious
great-grandchild. She will also be lovingly remembered by her
great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended
family members, dear friends, and neighbours.
Besides her parents, Vivian was
predeceased by her first husband, Ivan Woodworth; her beloved
grandsons, Devin and Aaren; her sisters, Theresa, Harriett, Marjorie,
and Gloria; and her brothers, Reginald (Gerry), Richard
"Dick" (Ethel), and Darrel.
