A.E. Joyce Beaumont

1933-2026

A.E. Joyce Beaumont

A.E. Joyce Beaumont, 93, of Forest Dale Home and formerly of Hopewell Cape, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, at the home. Born on February 2, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Harry Wesley Weldon and Jessie (Downs) Weldon.

Joyce dedicated many years to working as a cook at the Salvation Army Lakeview Manor, where she took pride in caring for others through the meals she prepared until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Lower Cape Baptist Church and looked forward to attending services whenever she was able.

A hardworking woman by nature, Joyce was happiest when she had something to keep her hands busy. She had a wonderful talent for sewing and made many beautiful clothes over the years. Whether she was knitting or crocheting, she was always creating something with love, often sharing her handmade treasures with family and friends. Her creativity, and caring spirit were woven into everything she made.

She was a wonderful lady with a quick wit and an infectious sense of humour. Joyce loved to laugh, tease, and enjoy the company of family and friends. She never believed in keeping her thoughts to herself and was well known for speaking her mind. Fortunately, she had a sharp sense of sarcasm and a playful way of delivering her opinions that usually left everyone laughing, even when they knew she was serious.

Joyce considered herself fortunate to remain in her own home until her early 90's with the love and support of her family and friends. Throughout her life, she faced her share of challenges, but she met each one with determination, resilience, and a little bit of spunk. She refused to let difficult times define her and always held onto hope and faith that brighter days were ahead.

Having lived through nearly a century of change, Joyce witnessed a remarkable transformation of the world around her. Through it all, she remained true to herself; strong, independent, and unwavering. She has long been a well-known part of the Hopewell Cape community, and Joyce carried on that legacy with pride. Her kindness, humour, and unmistakable personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She will be lovingly remembered by her special friend, Bernie Steeves of Hillsborough; her daughter, Faye Hawkes (Jim) of Hopewell Cape; her daughter-in-law, Donna LeBlanc of Indian Mountain; her cherished grandchildren, Timothy (Jennifer), Rick (Crystal), Aaron (Mary Grace), Amanda (Steve), Rebecca (Clinton), and Matthew (Darla); her 16 treasured great-grandchildren; her precious great-great-grandchild, Levitt; as well as several nieces and nephews, extended family members, and many friends.

Besides her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her beloved son, Matthew Beaumont, and her brother, Jack Weldon (Grace).

A Memorial Service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 21st, 2026 at 2:00pm with Pastor Rodney Blyth officiating. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further sharing of memories and for refreshments in the funeral home reception area.  Interment will follow in River View Cemetery, Edgett's Landing, New Brunswick.
