Christine Gulledge

1952-2025

Christine Gulledge

Christine Gulledge, 73, of Hillsborough passed away on July 25th, 2025 at the Moncton Hospital with her loving soulmate by her side.  Christine was born in Alabama on March 29th, 1952.

Christine was born in the United States and made her way to Canada where she met the love of her life, Bernie.  The two were connected at the hip for the most part.  She loved gardening and her plants ,trees and shrubs made a beautiful landscape.  She took great pride in her home, always keeping it neat and tidy, everything had its place.  She was a great cook and enjoyed being in the kitchen, when having friends over she would get to know their favorite meal and always made it when they came.  She was very unselfish and always put the needs and wants of others before herself.  She was always checking in on her in-laws, Peggy and Aurelle, making sure they had everything they needed and was a great caretaker.  She had a special place in her heart for animals and especially her dog, Bandit.  She enjoyed playing cards, especially SKIP BO.  She and Bernie would have friends over to play cards; she was quite competitive and liked to win.  Bernie had a game of cards with her in the hospital just before she passed and made sure she won...seeing her smile is a memory he will cherish forever. Christine was a very kind and caring person who was definitely one of a kind.  She would want everyone to be there for her Bernie and help him in the days ahead.   It's so hard to lose the love of your life but to not have met would have been a far greater tragedy.  "Life is a Journey and love makes the journey worthwhile."

She will be deeply missed by her best friend and husband, Bernard "Bernie" Milton; sisters, Gladys, Mary, Charlotte, Sandra and Kathy, brothers, Donald, Billy, W.D. Hayes, all of Alabama;  in-laws, Peggy and Aurelle LeBlanc of Riverview and all her close friends and neighbours. She is survived by daughter, Cindy and three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son Scott; brothers, Ralph and Jimmy.

Honoring Christine's own wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.
There will be a celebration of her life at her home at a later date.
