Gregory "Greg" Allison Dickinson
1962-2025
Suddenly, on April 10th, 2025, at his homestead
in Hillsborough NB and then at the Moncton Hospital, Gregory
"Greg" Allison Dickinson passed peacefully to heaven
with his loving family by his side. Born September 20, 1962, at the
Moncton Hospital.
Greg was a devoted and true man to his family, his faith, clients at Sunlife Financial, Moncton Branch, and to all who had the absolute pleasure of knowing him. He was known as very caring, compassionate, trustworthy, ethical, non-judgemental, hard-working, a jokester (he especially loved to get us all on April Fool’s with "girls come see the deer in the yard"), loving, deeply spiritual in word and deed. He taught Sunday School for many years at Hillsborough United Church, he read "Our Daily Bread" on his computer or book daily, and showed his faith through how he lived his life. He took great joy and pride in his three precious girls, and spent as much time as he could with them, and also with his main girl, who he affectionately called "Ne" (she called him Greggie or Mr D).
He took great pride in serving his clients with passion, giving his best care, and was always on call for them day or night. They knew they had an agent who was there for them. Greg was an excellent listener, and showed the same care and respect to all clients/people, no matter their circumstances in life.
His family was very proud of him as a father, husband, son, brother and brother in law. He had many friends, and was always helping someone at "the office," new and longtime agents, offering information or advice, with a smile. He was who he was, the same at home, work, or in the community, a friendly face who would chat, laugh, and listen. A true person. He will be unbelievably missed by all.
He leaves behind on this earth to deeply miss him, his partner and best friend of over 39 years, and wife of over 35 years, Neila Barbour Dickinson. He was so proud of their many years of being together. He also adored and couldn’t do enough for his 3 incredible daughters: Emily (James) of Riverview NB, Hannah of Hillsborough, and Robin (Kenny) of Bouctouche, NB. Also left to deeply grieve are his mother (Anna Colpitts Hutchinson), his step father (Roland Hutchinson) of Hillsborough NB and his younger brother, Graham Hutchinson of Moncton NB. Greg would not want to leave out his 3 feline grandsons, Ezrah, Samson and Gilby, who he played ball and cuddled with and let them lick his thick hair. Also left to mourn are many close cousins, aunts, uncles, from NB and NS. Beloved son in law, who was like a son to, Roscoe and Norma Barbour, brother in law to Lowell (Chris) Barbour, Cindy Mae (Kerry) MacFadyen, Trudy Barbour (Jeff Legge) all who reside on PEI.
The family will be having a time of visitation at the
