David Allen Steeves

1967-2024

David Allen Steeves
David Allen Steeves, 56, of Hillsborough passed away on February 8th, 2024, after a long battle with Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). David was born in Toronto on November 9th,1967. The son of the late Alida (Ida) Steeves and the late Bill Steeves.

David worked as a carpenter and he was very talented. He was a real outdoorsman and loved being in nature. Hunting and fishing were a big part of his life. David loved spending time with his family and friends and was always up for a party.  He was a great cook and could make a meal out of almost anything. A talent taught by his mother and grandmother. He would want everyone to remember the fun times and how much laughter was shared over the years. He enjoyed teasing and joking around with everyone. He is only a smile away.

David and his mother were very close, she had passed not long ago. He actually passed away on her birthday. It is hard on the ones left behind but gives us peace to know that she and David are together.  She must have been so glad to see him, what a birthday present for her.

"They say there is a reason, They say time will heal; Neither time or reason will change the way we feel.  Gone are the days we used to share, but in our hearts you are always there.  The gates of memories will never close; we miss you more than anybody knows."

He will be deeply missed by his step-father, David M. Steeves of Albert Mines; children, Taylor, Alex and Finn; sisters Jennifer Steeves (Collin) of Riverview and Lisa Steeves of Ontario and brother, Wallace "Wally" of BC. He will also be missed by several uncles, aunts, cousins, his special friend Lisa P, along with all his extended family and friends.

The family would like to send a special thank you to all the staff at the home and Patti. We greatly appreciate everything you did for David. He spoke fondly of you.

A Celebration of his life will take place at the Albert County Funeral Home on Friday, February 16th,2024 at 2:00pm with his uncle Pastor Paul Steeves officiating.
