Colleen Gayle Ermen
1963-2023
Colleen Gayle Ermen, 60, of Hillsborough passed away suddenly on November 30th, 2023 with family by her side. Colleen was born in Moncton on February 4, 1963 the daughter of the late Gerald Roland Steeves and Sharon J. (Terris) Steeves of Hillsborough.
Colleen grew up in Hopewell Cape and graduated from
Caledonia Regional High School. Colleen worked at Atlantic
Human Services Inc. and was the business manager. She was a
valued employee and could be depended on whatever the case may
be. Colleen had a unique way of making people feel
comfortable around her and that made it easier for her to help
others. She had a great sense of humour and loved to
laugh. She loved to travel and has had many trips over the
years, each one carrying special moments that she
cherished.
Above all things in life she was a MOM. Her
daughters could count on her to be there when needed and have their
backs. She might not always have agreed with them
but she never would let them face any diversity alone.
She was very close with her sister and her nieces
and nephews. They all had a special place in her
heart. She was a fun aunt and was always up for any
shenanigans, usually being first in line with an idea.
Colleen has left many wonderful memories and would
definitely want us all to remember the good times shared and
have a chuckle or laugh as we think of her humorous ways and
that big grin when she was up to something. She may be gone
from our site but she will always be in our
hearts.
She will be deeply missed by her mother, Sharon Steeves of
Hillsborough; daughters, Brittney Ermen of Moncton and Carrie Ermen of
Hillsborough; sister, Vicki Norris (Lee Gailing) of Weldon; her
nephew, Adam Norris ( Krisi Murphy) and niece, Stephanie Norris; great
nephew and nieces, Max, Leah, Jillian, Ian, and Adalyn. She
will also be missed by the father of her children, Jim Ermen; her
special cousin Shawna Terris who was her Disney partner as
well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with
visitation on Sunday from 1:00-4:00pm. A funeral service
will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Monday, December
4th, 2023 at 2:00pm. Interment will be held in the Mountain
View Cemetery, Lower Cape, NB at a later
date.
