Lila Anne Trites
1957-2023
Lila A. Trites, 66, of Riverview passed away unexpectedly at her residence on August 6th, 2023. She was born in Riverside, NB on March 9th 1957 the daughter of Alden and the late Ola (Beaumont) Woodworth.
Lila was proud of receiving her
certification from NBCC as a Geiratric Aide and enjoyed caring for the
needs of the residents at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home until
her retirement. When she was young she worked
hard planting trees, she had a passion for the outdoors and all it had
to offer. Homegrown and natural was always best and she was
thankful for being taught how to garden and preserve what was
harvested by her parents. She would often research
and was knowledgeable about wild edibles and foraging and would gladly
share her findings with anyone.
Lila also had a secret talent of being
an artist. She only shared her talent after a friend requested proof
of her abilities, it was evident Lila had a gift. Lila also loved
playing the guitar. She enjoyed reminiscing about
the good ol’ days and sharing childhood memories.
Her parents were a big part of her life and she appreciated all they
did for her.
She was over the moon when she met her
late partner Stephen Chambers. Although they were only together for a
short period of time before he passed, she felt blessed to
have him by her side for the time that she did. She had a special
place in her heart for dogs and took great comfort in the
companionship of her dog, Julie after her
loss.
Lila loved spending time with her
children and grandchildren and was happiest when they came over for
visits. She was proud of all their accomplishments.
Lila was close to her neighbours and was always cooking for them or
dropping off treats for the kids. She was called
"Aunt Lila" and will be missed.
She was so grateful to have her faith
in God and a family for support, especially through
life's challenges. Lila valued life’s
greatest treasures we often take for
granted.
"Enjoy the little things in life
for one day you will look back and realize they were the big
things."
She will be deeply missed by her
father, Alden Woodworth (Rose) of Riverside-Albert; her daughter, Jana
Jones of Riverview and son, Jeremy Jones (Dawn) of Mill Cove ;
treasured grandchildren, Josh, Dustin, Zander, Alyssa and Brayden ;
sisters Jean Jones of Toronto, ON, Kathleen Murray of
Salisbury , Arleen Woodworth of River Glade, and Angela Elliott
(Aaron) of Hillsborough; brothers, Carl Woodworth (Patricia) of
Mulgrave, NS and Dale Woodworth (Mary) of Hillsborough. She
will also be missed by several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews
and by all her extended family, and
friends.
Lila was predeceased by her mother,
Ola (Beaumont) Woodworth and partner, Stephen Chambers
(2019).
