Charles Nealey
1934-2023

Charles Nealey, 88, of Fundy Royal Manor, Hillsborough passed away peacefully on January 23, 2023 at the home. Charles was born in Saint John, NB on September 20, 1934 the son of the late Herbert and Alice (McNaught) Nealey.
He had a great memory and never forgot a
name. You could ask Charlie about history and he could tell
you anything you wanted to know. He was a faithful member of
the Holy Ghost Catholic Church. His faith was very important
to him and he always had a Bible by his side. Charlie lost
his eyesight but that never deterred him from
joining in games and having fun. He loved to go on outings
at Caledonia Activity Place and made many friends over the
years. The last place he called home was Fundy Royal Manor
in Hillsborough and he became part of the family
there. Charlie was always there with a pleasant
"hello" and "what is your name?" to whoever walked
in the door. He will be missed by all who knew
him.
He is survived by his brother Murray Nealey of Saint John;
his caretaker /cousin, Kelly Keiver and the McNaught family; and by
all his friends in the community.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother
Ronald Nealey; sister, Doreen Arnensen and half-brother, Paul
Nealey.
