James & Deanna (Whitlock) Turner

James & Deanna (Whitlock) Turner

James "Jim" William & Deanna Joyce (Whitlock) Turner- Both 54, of Dartmouth, NS, passed away in a tragic accident on September 4, 2022 in Hopewell Hill, NB.

Jim was born in Truro, NS, the son of the late Larry Turner and Sharon (Akerley) Turner of Carrolls Corner, NS.

Deanna was born in Halifax, the daughter of the late Kenneth Whitlock and Linda (Everest) Whitlock of Dartmouth.

They will be deeply missed by their mothers, Sharon Turner and Linda Whitlock; his brother, Sean Turner (Terri); and her brother Craig Whitlock (Linda Kettle); nieces and nephews, Jordan & Kodi Turner, Ryan, Jesse & Madison Kettle.  They will also be missed by several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and by all the friends they have made as Jehovah’s Witnesses. Their sense of humor, their laughter and caring nature will live on in the hearts and memories of those who knew them.

Jim and Deanna had a beautiful love story.  Their devotion and deep love for one another was obvious and admired by many. They worked hard together for almost four decades in their signs and graphics business, but what they enjoyed most was spending time with family and friends.  They also both enjoyed being in nature and travelling.  They were loving, loyal and good friends to many.  You could always depend on them whatever the circumstances.

The most important thing in their lives was their relationship with their God, Jehovah, with their devotion to each other coming second.  As active members of the Woodlawn Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, they devoted their time and energy to helping others learn about God and his wonderful promises for the future.  One such promise is found at Revelation 21:4 where it says that soon "death will be no more".

A memorial service for Jim and Deanna will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Hants East Rural High School, 2331 Hwy #2, Milford Station, NS B0N 1Y0.  There is also a Zoom login – Meeting ID  818 3816 3452 Passcode 220917
