Treva Yvonne Muise

1935-2022

Treva Yvonne Muise
Treva Muise, 87, of Fundy Royal Manor, Hillsborough passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the home with her boys by her side.

Treva was born in Riverside, Albert Co., NB on April 3,1935, the daughter of the late James(Jimmy) and Dorothy (Douthwright) Beck.

In Treva’s early adulthood, she left Riverside and moved to the States. While in Massachusetts, Treva was a career woman and a traveler. She went traveling with her roommates to Jamaica, California, and Hawaii. Treva also met her life partner while living in Boston. Together they enjoyed dancing at the Franco American Club, attending Red Sox games and spending time with her step sons David and Gordon. Over the next decades, Treva and Larry raised their boys, Marcel and Chris, in both Nova Scotia and New Hampshire. In Nova Scotia, Treva worked tirelessly to help her children thrive at school and in the community where she did not speak the language. She couldn’t wait to get back to NS when she retired to the home she and Larry built. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. Treva had a great outgoing personality and she loved social events. She was a member of a Line Dancing Group and her and Larry especially enjoyed the Heel & Toe Square Dancing Group in New Hampshire.

After Larry’s death, Treva moved back to Riverside-Albert. She became an active volunteer at Forest Dale Home, joined the Senior's Club, and was always on the move. When she was at home, she enjoyed knitting and quilting. She was very adamant that everyone in her family have a handmade quilt by her, and she fulfilled her goal. Treva was always very concerned about her family and was always only a phone call away. She loved to keep up on all the details of everyone's lives and made daily phone calls to check up on everyone. Her uplifting spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Treva’s love of her family was returned to her time and time again by her amazing nieces.

Treva’s faith was very important to her and she was a very devoted Catholic. She served as an Eucharistic Minister at St. Ambrose in Yarmouth, NS and St. Edmunds in Goffstown, NH. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Riverside-Albert, NB and attended the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church when she lived in Riverview, NB. She was also an active member of the CWL lending a helping hand often.

Treva will be deeply missed by her sons: Marcel (Jessica) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Chris (Amy) of Blue Hill, Maine; step-son, David of Florida. She will also be missed by her grandchildren: Cherie(Ivan), Heather, Danielle(Kevin), Alissa, River, Benjamin, Liliana and Genevieve; her great- grandchildren: Christina, Kevin, Nigel, Kairo, and Carina; brothers: Raymond Beck of Oshawa and Cecil Beck of Riverside-Albert. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and by all her friends.
