Joanne Lynn Beck
1953-2022
Joanne Lynn Beck, 68, of Riverside-Albert passed away peacefully on June 28th, 2022 at the Albert House Hospice with her loving and supportive family by her side.
Joanne was born in Riverside-Albert on July 3rd, 1953 the
daughter of the late Ernest and Elsie (Burnett)
Edgett.
Joanne was very family oriented, and her children always
came first. She was happiest when spending time with family
and friends. She had many good friends and they were always close
by. She last worked at the Harbour View in Alma as a
clerk. It was all family that worked
together making it a fun place to be most of the
time. Joanne was always joking around and could be rather
blunt at times, you didn't have to ask her opinion she would give her
thoughts quite freely. This made being around her very
entertaining, when she was around you laughed a lot. She was
definitely one of a kind.
She loved to have the grandchildren around and cherished
times with her great granddaughter. Her face would light up
when they came around. Joanne felt blessed to have the
support of her children and was very proud of the way
they stepped up to be there for her when her health was
declining. After the death of her spouse, Carl,
she spent a lot of time with her close friends and extended family,
they were all there for her. To Joanne, family wasn't always
blood. It was the people in her life who
wanted her in theirs; the ones who accepted her for
who she was. The ones who would do anything to see
her smile and who loved her no matter what and she did this in
return. Her door was always open.
"Home is where you treat your friends like family and
your family like friends."
She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Sandy Spinney
(Pat) of St. Martins and Tammy Beck (Graham) of Alma; her son, Jamie
Beck of Riverside-Albert; her treasured grandchildren, Kristen (Kyle),
Jorden, Mitchell, Chase, Noah and Hailey and her precious
great-granddaughter, Sadie; sisters, Bonny Eastwick of Riverview,
Kathy Bishop (David) of Riverside-Albert; brothers, Peter Edgett
(Lana) of Alma, Melvin Edgett (Louise) of Hillsborough and John Edgett
of Alma; sister-in-law, Brenda Hambly of Alma and best friend, Ramona
Edgett of Alma. She will also be missed by several nieces,
nephews and by all her extended family, the Wilson family and many
good friends.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her spouse, Carl
Wilson; sister, Diane Lutes (Jim) and brother, Richard
"Rick" Edgett
