Sandra Faye Phillips
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Faye Phillips, aged 67, of Moncton, New Brunswick on August 24, 2021 after battling with cancer. Sandra was born in Moncton on November 19, 1953, the daughter of Lorena (Henwood) Phillips and the late Sanford Phillips.
Beloved by all who knew her, Sandra had a beautiful singing voice and dearly loved to laugh. She enjoyed cooking for people and made the best apple pie. Her sharp mind, curious spirit and love of living made her quick and lasting friendships. She was kind-hearted to many and helped those less fortunate than herself. Sandra was incredibly proud of her children and deeply loved her family. In her final days she found comfort in knowing that a place had been prepared for her and that she would see loved ones again.
She is survived by her two children Luke and Wanda, and her grandchildren Sydnee, Lucas, Mathew and Daneil. She is also survived by her siblings Phyllis, Gloria, Harry, Craig, Stafford, Donald, Sandy, Darren, Darrell, Kevin and Linda, and is predeceased by her husband Blair, daughter Jodi and her father Sanford. Our beloved mother, daughter, sister and grandmother will be forever missed.
Her family want to thank Dr. R. Halperin, Dr. R. Kutsche and the North Okanagan Hospice in British Columbia for their excellent care.
A memorial service and celebration of Sandra's life will be held at the Albert Mines Baptist Church on September 27th, 2021 at 1:00 pm for family and close friends. Interment will take place in the Albert Mines Cemetery in Albert Mines, N.B. For those who wish donations to the Albert Mines Baptist Church or to the mental health youth charity ACCESS Open Minds (https://accessopenminds.ca/donate/), it would be greatly appreciated.
