Stancey Edmond Beck

1933-2021

Stancey Edmond Beck

Stancey Edmond Beck, 87, of Beaverbrook passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2021 at the Moncton Hospital.

Stancey was born in Harvey, Albert County on February 24,1933, the son of the late James and Dorothy (Douthwright) Beck.

After Stancey got his education he stayed at home and worked with his father on the farm and in the woods.  Later he moved on to Goose Bay, Labrador and worked in the Refrigeration industry.  He later returned back to his home in Albert County.  Stancey had a love of nature and loved working in the woods.  He enjoyed the peaceful tranquility of living near a brook and seeing all the wildlife around.   Stancey enjoyed driving around the community in his little truck, always seeing what was going on.  He attended the Bluegrass Festivals and never missed going to see the  Rocky Cape Band when they played in Hillsborough on Thursday nights.  He really enjoyed all the bands and singers that took part in the show.    Stancey was a faithful member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church and he took his faith very seriously.   He is  in the arms of his Heavenly Father and having a reunion with all those who have gone before him.   "Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace."

He will be deeply missed by his sister, Treva Muise of Riverview; brothers, Raymond Beck of Ontario and Cecil Beck of Riverside-Albert.  He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and by all his church family.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters, Teresa Kenney-Mercer, Solie Barbour; brothers, Howard, Louis, Clement and Ervin.

Due to COVID there will be no visitation or service at this time.  A Memorial Service and Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.  Interment will be in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB in the spring.
