Carl Aubrey Pauley

Carl Aubrey Pauley
Carl Aubrey Pauley, 95, of Hillsborough, formerly of Port Elgin passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital on June 19th, 2020. Carl was born on May 18th, 1925, the son of the late William and Lilah (Allen) Pauley.
Carl was a self employed furnaceman. He owned and operated Pauley's Burner Service for several years and took great pride in serving his clients. He could always be relied upon.  He attended the Hillsborough United Church with his wife, Doris whenever he could. He was a member of the Hillsborough Seniors Club and was always quick to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. In his spare time, Carl always kept busy.  He loved to make grandfather clocks and treasured each one he made.  He also enjoyed being outdoors in nature, hunting or fishing, and in the winter, he loved to curl.  Most of all, Carl loved his family and he was so happy to be surrounded by them all at his 95th birthday, even if it was at a distance.  He was so thankful for his wife, Doris who supported him through all life's ups and downs. Carl would not want a lot of tears, but for everyone to remember all the good times had and to know that he is now walking with the Lord. " What we keep in memory is ours forever."
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Doris (Murray) Pauley of Hillsborough; son, Donald Pauley (Marcie) of Stoney Creek; two cherished grandchildren, Heidi Pederson (Tom) and Trevor Pauley (Tasha); treasured great grandchildren, Tayler and Konnor; brother Ray Pauley (Joan); sisters-in-law, Margaret Rose, Isabelle, and Muriel.   He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Ivan, Milford, Alton (Roberta), and Kenneth; sisters, Leota (Marvin), Hattie (Harmon), and Azora (Clayton).
Honouring Carl's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A private graveside service will take place in the Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin, NB.
For those who wish, donations to the Hillsborough United Church or charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
