Wendell Coleman Sears

1951-2020

Wendell Coleman Sears

Wendell Coleman Sears, 68, of Amherst, NS passed away on May 7th, 2020 in Weldon, NB at the home of his daughter and son-in-law after a courageous battle with cancer.

Wendell was born in Sackville, NB on June 6, 1951 the son of the late Coleman Sears and Edith (Lewis) Sears of Point de Bute, NB.

He worked at Enterprise Fawcett Foundry for most of his life but later worked at the Weston Bakery.  He was an avid hunter and really enjoyed being outdoors in nature.  He made a camp  to be able to get out in the woods and treasured every minute of it.  He enjoyed farming, he had a hobby farm but also worked on bigger farms in Sackville throughout his life.  He enjoyed going for drives in the country with his family and taking in the beautiful scenery and landmarks of the Maritimes.  He enjoyed playing cards, dancing and just having fun.  He was grateful to everyone who brought him a cup of Tim Horton's coffee whenever they were going by, it was his favourite treat.  He was known for his sense of humour,  you never knew what he was going to say to get a reaction, but you could count on having a good laugh.   His main priority in life was his family.  He cherished time spent with Sarah, who was always daddy's little girl.  He was so happy she met and married Bradley and was proud of the life they started together.  He loved his wife Freda with all his heart, she passed in November 2019 and they will be spending their 36th Anniversary together in heaven.  It gives Sarah peace to know they are together again.
" Parents are one of God's first gifts to our hearts and their love stays with us always."

He will be deeply missed by his mom, Edith; his daughter, Sarah Parker (Bradley) of Weldon; sisters, Pauline Ormandy and Cathy Grant (Gary); brothers, Stephen Sears (Judy) and Brian Sears (Angie) all of Point de Bute, NB.  He will also be missed by his special nephew, Laiden Gould who he had a special bond; several nieces. nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Coleman Sears and his beloved wife, Freda (Gould) Sears.
