Viola Marry O'Blenis
1924-2015
Viola Marry O'Blenis, 90 of Forest Dale Home and
formerly of Blakney Road, Killiams Mills passed away peacefully on
March 24th, 2015 at the home.
Viola was born in Colpitts Settlement on October 25th,
1924 the daughter of the late Vibert and Hilda (Powers) Colpitts. She
was a housewife and loved raising her family. In her later years, she
enjoyed watching tv especially her game shows, and doing word find
puzzles. Viola will be remembered for her easy going personality and
her sweet smile. She thought the world of her grandchildren and loved
all children. Her good character and the kindness of her heart won the
affection of her loved ones. She was loved by
all.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Robert
(Pat) of Courtney, BC, Vincent (Freda) of Killiams Mills, Marion
Wilkins (Boyd) of Hillsborough and Joey (Sandra) of Hillsborough; her
treasured 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great-great
grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren; sisters, Frances White
of Hopewell Hill, Gladys MacDonald of Riverview and Evelyn Danahy of
Riverside-Albert; step- brother, Robert Prosser (Betty) of Salisbury.
She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Viola was glad
to here she had another great-great granddaughter on the way, who will
be told of how special her great-great grammie
was.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her
step-mother, Mary; beloved husband, Elmer; brother ,Ernest; sisters,
Annie and Jessie.
She will be resting at the Albert County
Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday evening from
6-9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert
County Funeral Home on Friday, March 27th, 2015 at
2:00pm with Rev. Keith Adams officiating. Interment will be in the
Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB at a later
date.
