Kathleen "Kay" Eudora Milton, wife of the late Darrel F. Milton, 89, of Fundy Royal Manor, Hillsborough and formerly of Edgett's Landing passed away on October 26, 2014 at the Moncton Hospital.
 
Kay was born in Moncton on August 28th, 1925 the daughter of the late Lloyd Hillman and Jennie (Berry) Hillman-Hayward. She was a faithful member of the Valley Baptist Church. Kay worked at T.E. Eaton & Company as a stenographer. She loved learning about genealogy and was the official genealogist for the Steeves Family Inc., she also worked for the William Henry Steeves House. Kay was also involved in setting up the library for the Hillsborough Elementary School. She was a member of the Edgett's Landing Women's Institute. Kay always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met. She was the type of lady who was always willing to help anyone, and did so in her community. She enjoyed knitting , quilting , gardening and was a great cook. She had a great memory and could recite poems and verses she learned when she was young. Kay had a great sense of humour and loved times shared joking and laughing with her family and friends. She will definitely be remembered for her kindness, generosity and for her strong will. She is now at peace and in the comforting arms of her Lord and Savior.
 
She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Lois Snider (Vaughn) of Hillsborough and Anna Wright of Victoria, BC ; her cherished grandchildren, Darrelyn, Andrew (Lisa), Becky, Barry (Tanya), Andrea and Dan (Chelsea); and by her treasured great grandchildren, Candace, Tom, Lucas, Laney, Marshall, Caridee and Alexis; sister, Faye Hyslop (Allan) of Moncton; sister-in-law, Jean Milton of Weldon. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
 
Besides her parents and her husband she was predeceased by her step-father, Edward "Ned" Hayward; sisters, Patricia Higgs and Lillian "Billie" Reynolds; half-brother, Jim Hayward; step-brothers, Merle Hayward and Maurice Hayward and great granddaughter, Bailey Joy.
 
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday evening from 7-9pm. The funeral will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Thursday, October 30th, 2014 at 2:00pm with Rev. Bruce Alcorn officiating and Pastor Danny Steeves assisting. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the funeral home for further sharing of memories and for refreshments. Interment will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Edgett's Landing, NB.
