Herbert "Herbie" D Steeves
1939-2014
Herbert "Herbie" D. Steeves, 74, of Edgett's
Landing passed away on Sunday, September 21st, 2014 at the Moncton
Hospital with his loving family by his
side.
Herbie was born in Edgett's Landing on October 13th,
1939, the son of the late Herbert and Edna (Milton) Steeves. He was a
member of the Valley Baptist Church, he enjoyed working with the youth
and helped out with the boys groups at the church. He worked at many
jobs over the years, with T Eaton & Company, Sumner Tire, City
Sales and was retired from Moncton Chrysler Dodge. Even after he
retired he worked with Nelson Waste Management for years , just to
keep busy. You could always find him out on the tractor or in his
garage working on his tractor. He also loved times spent with his
family, having won his last game of crokinole on last Sunday night.

He will be missed by his devoted and caring wife,
Catherine; sons, Paul Steeves (Gail) of Pine Glen, Kendal Steeves of
Alberta and Michael Steeves (Nicole) of Edgett's Landing; his 6
treasured grandchildren, Andrew, Shane, Kyle, Cody, Ben, and Jessica;
the mother of his 3 grandsons, Laurie Williamson ; sister, Karen
Steeves (Sheldon) of Hillsborough; sister-in-law, June Steeves of
Riverview. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother,
Wendell Steeves and a niece, Maryellen.
He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home
with visitation on Wednesday, September 24th, 2014 from 1:00pm until
the time of funeral service. The Funeral Service will be held at the
Albert County Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 24th, 2014 at
2:00pm with Rev. Bruce Alcorn officiating with Rev Jack Allen and Rev.
Dean MacDonald assisting. Following the service the family will be
meeting with relatives and friends at the funeral home for further
sharing of memories and for refreshments in the reception area.
Interment will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Edgett's Landing.
Donations made to a Living Memorial in memory of
Herbie would be greatly appreciated.
