Darrell Gerard Henwood
1953-2012
Darrell Gerard Henwood , 58, of Dieppe, succumbed
to injuries he suffered due to a hit and run accident on Lewisville
Road. He passed away on August 1st, 2012 at the Moncton
Hospital.
Darrell was born in Albert Mines, NB on September
3rd, 1953 the son of the late Richard James and Lily Rose (Houseman)
Henwood. Darrell worked in the Construction industry as a Heavy
Equipment Operator all his life. He loved being in the country and
especially Albert County. He will be remembered for his great sense
of humour and for his unique laugh. Darrell would want you to look
back and remember some of the good times you shared with him and
smile.
He will be sadly missed by
his daughters, Angie Bertolin of Salisbury and Julie Henwood of
Malden; grandchildren, Travis, Karley,Destiny and Jayden;
sisters, Starr Holmden (Doug) of Lower Coverdale,
Lynn Brantnall (Lorne) of Moncton; brothers, Michael (Ruth) of Stoney
Creek, Richard Jr. (Carol) of Salisbury, Mark of Lower Cape, twin
brother, Merrill (Marjorie) of Lower Cape and Lee (Bernadette) of
Calgary. He will also be missed by the mother of his children, Joyce
(Capson) Henwood of Moncton; several aunts, uncles, nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother,
Russell.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial service and
Celebration of his Life will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home
on Monday, August 6th, 2012 at 2:00pm with family friend, Mr. Hugh
Morrissey officiating.
Interment will be in the Albert Mines Cemetery,
Albert Mines where he will be laid to rest by his parents and
brother.
Donations in Darrell's memory to the charity of the
donor's choice would be appreciated by the
family.
