Stanley Allen Parker
1954-2012
Stanley Allen Parker, 57, of Salisbury passed away on May 15th, 2012 at the Dr. Georges. L- Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB.
Stanley was born in Montreal on November 26th, 1954 the son of the late Sydney and Joan (Steeves) Parker. Stanley worked as a custodian with District 2 at the Moncton High and Edith Cavell Schools but last worked as Chief of Maintenance for the County Fair Mall in Summerside, PEI, before he retired due to health reasons. Stanley was a big guy with an equally big heart. He enjoyed woodworking and had a special place in his heart for animals. Stanley also loved driving through the back roads of Albert County with his family and friends.
He felt very fortunate to be able to stay with his sister and her husband after he became ill, he was very grateful for all they did for him over the past few years. "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday, Unseen, unheard but always near."
He will be deeply missed by his sister, Charlotte MacLeod (Daryll)of Salisbury; brothers, David Parker (Carol) of PEI and Stewart Parker of Weldon; his niece, Faith MacLeod; nephews, Doug Parker and Bradley Parker. He will also be missed by all his extended family and by many good friends.
Honoring Stanley's own wishes there will be no visitation. A Graveside Committal Service will be held in the Curryville United Cemetery, Curryville, NB, at a later date. He will be laid to rest with his beloved parents.
Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
