Lois Carrie Butland
1937-2012
Lois
Carrie Butland, 75, of Edgett's Landing went to be with her Lord and
Savior on Sunday, January 29th, 2012 she passed away at the Moncton
Hospital with her daughter by her side.
Lois was
born in West River on January 1st, 1937 the daughter of the late
Aubrey and Annie (Wilbur) Butland. Lois was a hard worker and worked
with School District #17 and last with School District #4, she was
there for 29 years before her retirement. She was an active member of
the Valley Baptist Church , having sang in the choir, taught Sunday
School, served as Sunday School Superintendent, was an Awana Leader
and helped on many committees. Lois's faith and telling others about
her Lord was very important to her. She was a volunteer with the St.
John Ambulance for 16 years where she served as Superintendent and
earned her Serving Sister Officer Medal. Lois was very community
minded and willing to help whenever called upon. She enjoyed music
and sang with her sisters at various events in her earlier years they
were known as "The Butland Girls". She was a loving and
devoted mother, grandmother and sister, her family meant everything
to her. Being the oldest of six girls, she would give her point of
view , even when not asked, but only with the best
intentions. Lois felt so blessed to have a grandson, she loved Caden
so much, he was definitely her pride and joy. She had a generous
heart and was a very kind and giving lady who will be remembered for
her caring ways. She would not want us to be sad but to rejoice that
she is now with her Lord and walking the streets of gold and hearing
"Well done my good and faithful servant." She would also
want you all to know that it is possible for everyone to have eternal
life and felt it important to tell as many as possible about
salvation.
"For God so loved the world, that
he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life." John
3:16
