Dorothy "Dot" May Reynolds
1947-2012
Dorothy "Dot"
Reynolds, 64, of Forest Dale Home and formerly of Edgett's Landing
passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 17th, 2012 at the Moncton
Hospital surrounded by her family. Dot was born in Hillsborough
on July 23rd, 1947 the daughter of the late Winston Goodwin Sr. and
Edith (Locke) Goodwin. Dot was an active member of the St. Mary's
Anglican Church. She was a retired nurse having worked at the Moncton
Hospital for over 30 years in the Maternity and Neo-Natal
Departments. She will be remembered for her dry sense of humour and
caring ways. She was an avid golfer and a member of the Hillsborough
Golf Course. Dot also enjoyed gardening and doing cross-stitch. She
loved to laugh and her medicine over the past few years was joking
with her family and friends and the fresh air of the golf course and
in her garden. Her family were everything to her and she felt so
blessed to have them by her side. She would light up whenever her
grandchildren came around, they were definitely her pride and joy.
Lets all share a good memory of Dot and know she is now at peace and
with her loved ones that have gone before her, probably having the
best game of golf ever. "When a loved one becomes a memory. A
memory becomes a treasure. Treasure the
memories."
She will be deeply missed by her children, Karla
Reynolds of Edgett's Landing; Blake Reynolds (Elizabeth) of Riverview;
cherished grandchildren, Isaac, Aidan and Dawson; sisters, Ann Morton
(Henry) and Carol Sinclair (James) both of Lower Coverdale. She will
also be missed by several nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her
beloved husband Keith Reynolds (2004) ; brother, Winston Goodwin Jr.,
(2005).
The family will be meeting
with relatives and friends at the Albert County Funeral Home for a
time of sharing memories on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm . A Memorial
service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Friday,
January 20th, 2012 at 2:00pm with Rev. Roderick Black officiating.
Interment will be held in the Green Hill Cemetery at
a later date. Following the service the family will be meeting for
further sharing and for refreshments at the funeral
home.
