 LeRoy Joseph Collins, 77, of Allison, NB, passed away peacefully on August 27th, 2010 at the Moncton Hospital with his loving family by his side.

LeRoy was born in German Brook, Albert County, NB on January 17, 1933 the son of the late Frank and Marie (Christie) Collins.  He worked as a stationary engineer and was an employee of Wallace Warehouse and Cartage for 45 years until his retirement.  He was an active member of the St. Jude Roman Catholic Church in Salisbury.  LeRoy was one of those people who you could always count on, he was a volunteer and was involved with many activities in the community and the church.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved nature, spending hours watching the deer from his window at home.  Above all things he was a devoted family man who was always there for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was known as Mr. Fix it to all his grandkids, there was not a toy made that re-père couldn't fix. " His good character and the kindness of his heart won the affection of his loved ones he was loved by all."

He will be deeply missed by his special friend and close companion, Jeannine LeBlanc; his four daughters, Nancy Williamson (Gerald) of Colpitts Settlement, Patsy LeBlanc (Gary) of Edmonton, AB , Susan LeBlanc (Andre) of Moncton and Sandra Drisdelle (John) of Salisbury;  son, Terry Collins (Cindy) of Salisbury; and by his 11 precious grandchildren and treasured great grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Butland and Beulah Morrissey both of Riverside- Albert; brothers, Reginald (Marina) of Alma, Richard (Betty Ann) of Oshawa, ON, Gordon (Helen) of London, ON and Ronald of Vancouver, BC.  He will also be missed by his sisters-in-law, Florence Collins of Moncton, Patricia Collins of Riverview and Lorene Collins of Riverside-Albert ; several nieces and nephews and by all of Alice's and Jeannine's families and by his many friends.

 Besides his parents he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Alice Mary (Arsenault) Collins; son, LeRoy Jr; infant daughters, Penny & Memmery; sister, Lillian Mills; brothers, Everett, Weldon, Alger, Arnold, Donald and Sydney; sister-in-law, Joyce; brothers-in-law, Winfield Mills Sr, Carl Butland and Fred Morrissey.

 The family will be meeting relatives and friends at the St. Jude Roman Catholic Church on Monday, August 30th, 2010 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.   There will be a time for sharing memories and story telling at 8:30pm.  The Funeral Mass will be held from the St. Jude Roman Catholic Church in Salisbury on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010 at 11:00am with Father Phil Mulligan presiding.  Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the church for further fellowship and for refreshments.  Interment will be held in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB.

 Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or to the Holy Ghost Cemetery would be greatly appreciated by the family.

 LeRoy's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Moncton Hospital for their professionalism and compassion shown to both LeRoy and his family their expertise has made this difficult time much easier.
