Wilfred John Fenton
  1942-2010

Wilfred John Fenton, 68, of Riverside-Albert passed away peacefully on August 12, 2010 at the Moncton Hospital.

He was born in Edgett's Landing on January 25, 1942 the son of the late Charles and Doris (Smith) Fenton.  Wilfred worked at the Canadian Gypsum and was a lab technician for Inland Waters and Noranda Mines.  He also worked in the woods and for the Village of Riverside Albert.  Wilfred was a jack of all trades, he could fix any appliance, getting calls from neighbors to fix dryers, washers and stoves.  Truth be told he was also a dentist of sorts, pulling teeth was his specialty.   He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and for his willingness to help others.  The family will be able to look back on all the stories he told them and have a good laugh.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Helen (Campbell) Fenton; children, John Fenton (Darlene) of Cole Harbour, NS; Shirley Meldrum (Ronald) of Houston, Texas, Victor Fenton (Krista) of Stoney Creek, NB and Derrick Fenton (Stacey) of Oromocto, NB; precious grandchildren, Alex, Nick, Dawn, Scott, Andrew, Lance, Bailey and Tanner; sisters, Kathy Edson (Art) of Riverview, NB and Marilyn Patterson (Bob) of Hopewell Cape, NB; brothers, Jerry Fenton (Sandra) of Orillia, ON and Mike Fenton (Amy) of Albert Mines, NB.  He will also be missed by his mother-in-law, Arvilla Campbell and sister-in-law, Susan Fenton and by several nieces, nephews and many good friends.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by an infant daughter, Janet; sister, Helen McDuff; brothers, Roy and Vaughn.

The family will be meeting with relatives and friends for a time of sharing memories and telling stories at the Albert County Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon, August 15th, 2010 from 2-4pm.  Honoring Wilfred's own request there will be no funeral service.  Interment will be held in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, Hopewell Hill at a later date.

Family flowers only please.  Donations to the Holy Ghost Cemetery, Riverside-Albert Volunteer Fire Department, Cancer Society or NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
