Bonnie Charlene Steeves

1950-2020

Bonnie Charlene Steeves

Bonnie Charlene (Estabrooks) Steeves,70, of Hillsborough passed away peacefully on September 17,2020  at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Sackville, NB on August 3rd, 1950 the daughter of the late Cecil and Eleanor (Maxwell) Estabrooks.

She cleaned several houses, worked at the Kmart and worked at the Co-op until her retirement.  She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church and her faith was strong.  Bonnie loved to travel and go camping.  She enjoyed reminiscing with old friends and could talk for hours.  She had a very special place in her heart for children and her door was always open.  Her and Wayne stepped up and helped many families and were always ready to lend a hand.  She will be remembered for her kind and generous ways.  Her family meant the world to her and she has left them with the knowledge she was ready to take the next step to her eternal home and have peace that she will see them again.   "See not the old life I have ended, but the new one I am beginning."

She will be deeply missed by her husband of 31 years, Wayne Steeves of Hillsborough; daughters, Jodi Wood-Cormier (Marc) of Moncton and Virginia "Ginny" Steeves of Kitchener, ON; her precious grandchildren, Chandler Cormier and Tiffany Rossiter; brothers, Clinton Estabrooks (Margaret) and Stuart Estabrooks (Cathy) both of Moncton; sister-in-law, Peggy Geldart (Calvin) of Weldon; brother-in-law, Dana Steeves (June) of Steeves Mountain.  She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and by all her church family and neighbours.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, David Wood;  her two precious grandsons, Gary and Jordan Cormier; her in-laws, Annie & Herbert Wood, Dorothy & Earl Steeves; sister-in-law, Margaret Estabrooks; brother-in-laws, Carl Steeves and Eddie Wood.
