Velma Govang, 88, of Residence Adventure Nursing Home, Moncton passed away peacefully on November 8th, 2019 at her home listening to her favourite hymns.

Velma was born in Hillsborough on June 10th, 1931 the daughter of the late Minor and Beatrice (Steeves) Govang. 
 
Velma loved her Lord with all her heart and attended the Apostolic Lighthouse and New Life Pentecostal Church faithfully every Sunday over the years.   She was a sweet lady whose smile and spirituality will be remembered by all who knew her.  She is now with her Saviour and hearing the words "well done my good and faithful servant."  
 
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  She will be missed by all her relatives, friends and her church family.
 
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday from 1-2pm an  hour prior to the service.   The Funeral Service and Celebration of her life will be on Sunday, November 10th, 2019 at 2:00pm with Rev. Donald Arbeau officiating.  Interment will be in the Bayview Cemetery, Harvey, NB.  There will  be a time of sharing memories and refreshments immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Her family would also like thank all the exceptional care givers that took just good care of Velma over the years, all the kindness shown and the compassion given will never be forgotten.
