Everett Bryce Hoar

Everett Bryce Hoar, 78, of Hillsborough passed away on October 12th, 2019 at the Moncton Hospital with his family by his side.  

Everett was born in Hebron, NB on March 15th, 1941 the son of the late William and Arletta (Walton) Hoar.  
 
Everett drove truck for most of his life and was best known for delivering oil to his customers in the Albert County area for years, he also drove tractor trailer.   He was very community minded and was a volunteer Firefighter with Riverside-Albert Department for 25 years, belonged to the Volunteer St. John Ambulance and was active in the Lions Club.   He was also past president of the Fundy Curling Club and enjoyed all the social events.  He had a passion for antique cars and was very proud of his collection.  Everett's family was very important to him and he felt blessed to have his wife, Mary and his girls, he also had a very special bond with his granddaughter, they were his everything.  At this time of year we will reminisce on how fortunate we were to have had him in our lives.  "Say not in grief, he is no more' but in thankfulness that he was."
 
He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 57 years and best friend, Mary; his daughters, Kim (Raymond) and Norma (Bob) of Hillsborough; his cherished granddaughter, Shelby (Morgan); his sister, Marilyn Wortman; brothers,  Sterling (Velma), Reginald (Dorothy) and George (Vivian); sister-in-law, Mabel Hoar; brother-in-law, Charlie (Joyce).  He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.  
 
Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters, Verna (Everett), Della (Glen), Jean (Joe) and brothers, Gerald, Frank (Ann) and Donnie; brother-in-law, Ray Wortman.
 
He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday, October 15th, 2019 from 6-9pm.  The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 16th, 2019 at 2:00pm with Rev. Peggy Reid officiating. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further shaing of memories and for refreshments at the funeral home.  Interment will be held in the Alma United Cemetery, Alma, NB.
