Nancy Lea Cochrane
1957-2019
After a
courageous battle with stage 4 breast cancer, we are heartbroken to
announce the passing of Nancy Lea Cochrane of Forest Dale Nursing
Home, formerly of Harvey, on September 5th 2019.
Nancy was born in Moncton on May 19, 1957 the daughter of Russell and the late Davine (Jones) Randall.
Nancy would often reminisce about the years she spent out west and tell us many stories about working at "the old co-op". Her gentle and charismatic personality touched many people she worked with over the years and she made many friends along the way. She devoted her life to her 3 children, and was very proud of her 3 grandsons, they were her pride and joy. She looked forward to every visit she got to spend with them. She was thrilled about her son's announcement of the arrival of her first granddaughter in November. Nancy will be remembered for her kind heart, determination, strength (which has a lot to do with growing up with 4 brothers), and for her love of family. She loved to tease and be teased. She had a passion for gardening and a soft spot for all animals. Even though her journey here is over, the memories we have of her will be cherished forever. "We know what love is because of you".
She will be deeply missed by her father, Russell Randall of Memel; her common-law husband and best friend, Roland Smith Jr. of Harvey; her children, Sarah Cochrance (Shaun) of Caledonia Mountain, Lindsay Cochrane of Hillsborough,and Steven Cochrane (Jessica) of Riverview; her step-daughters, Stephanie LeBlanc (Jeremy) of Hillsborough and Alyssa Smith of Waterside; her precious and cherished grandchildren, Brysen, Phoenix, Emmett; by her brothers Stanley Randall (Andrea), Robby Randall(Wanda), Larry Randall (Robin); and by the father of her children, Darrell Cochrane. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews, by her extended family and by many friends.
She was predeceased by her mother, Davine (Jones) Randall (1996) and by her brother Ernest(1997)
The family would like to send a special thanks to all the staff at Forest Dale Nursing Home for the great care and compassion provided to Nancy over the last two years.
Honouring Nancy's wishes there will be no funeral service. A time of visitation to celebrate Nancy's life will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Sunday, September 8th, 2019 from 2-4pm. Interment will be held in the Bayview Cemetery, Harvey, NB.
