Randy Donald Sheffar

1962-2019

Randy Donald Sheffar

Randy Donald Sheffar, 57, of Edgett's Landing and formerly of Kelowna BC, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep at his parents home on June 5, 2019.

He was born in Hillsborough on January 9, 1962 the son of the late Charles Sheffar and Doreen (Tower) and Conrad Steeves of Edgett's Landing.

Randy worked out West with the pipeline for most of his life as a welder with Ironworks Welding.   Later in life, he took courses and got his license as a Motorcycle technician.  He was excited to be back in New Brunswick and starting up his garage, Ironworks Cycles, where he put his training and expertise to work on motorcycles; especially his favourite Harley Davidson.  He had a passion for bikes all his life and this was truly his dream.  He also was an avid musician playing the bass guitar with several bands over the years.   He was glad to be back with his family here, but also took time to keep in contact with his children and grandchildren whenever he could, he was so proud of them.  His grandchildren were definitely his pride and joy and his face would light up when he was talking about them.  He had a special place in his heart for animals and especially his dog, "Baby Boy Blue".  Randy lived life to the fullest and loved his family with all his heart.  He will be remembered for his big smile and sense of humour; he was always joking around.  He would want everyone to remember all the good times they shared and keep his memory alive with fun stories and laughter.

He will be deeply missed by his mother and step-father, Conrad and Doreen Steeves of Edgett's Landing; his treasured children, Alyssa Sheffar (Ryan Ruggles) of Calgary, AB and Dayten Sheffar (Nora Marshalle) of Victoria, BC; his precious grandchildren, Scarlet and Randy; sisters, Bev  Milton (Norm Cormier) of Moncton and Melissa Steeves (Chris Ashworth) of ON.  He will also be missed by his special friend, Cindy Carter; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, many good friends and the mother of his children, Karen Cowlishaw.

Besides his father Charles, he was predeceased by his sister Natasha.

He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with a time of visitation on Monday, June 10th, 2019 from 7-9pm. A Celebration of His life and a time of sharing memories will take place at the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019 at 2:00pm.

In honour of his dog Blue, donations to the SPCA would be greatly appreciated.
