Matilda "Tilly" May Barbour, 94, of Forest Dale Home passed away peacefully on May 30th, 2019 at the Moncton City Hospital.

Tilly was born on August 30th, 1924 the daughter of the late Edward and Mabel (McKee) Black.

Tilly had a passion for cooking and shared her talent in the kitchen at the Albert County Hospital and at Forest Dale Home until her retirement.   She was a member of the Wesley United Church. Tilly was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She loved to curl and was one of the original members of the Fundy Curling Club. Her other hobbies included knitting, cooking, and playing a games of cards.  She was a very strong and determined woman who had a very competitive side, but as much as she liked to win, she also enjoyed a good laugh and spending time with family and friends.  Tilly and her daughter Mabel had a special bond, she felt very blessed not only to have Mabel as a daughter, but also as a best friend.  "The loss of a Mother can never be replaced but the Love of a Mother can never be lost."
