She enjoyed working with children and was instrumental in youth groups, Pioneer Girls and the Awana Program at the church. She was a lifetime member of the WMS. She was a member of the Hillsborough Seniors Group. She will be remembered for her proper etiquette and having things done in a certain way. She also loved to have fun and enjoyed going on bus tours with her family and friends. She was one those people you could count on if anyone needed anything and was always willing to help. Her unwavering faith was an example to many. Evelyn did not have any children of her own but had a very special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews. She was most definitely one of the favourite aunts. Evelyn felt blessed to have had a close relationship with her niece, Susan she was there for her when she needed anything over the years. The bond between them was strong and Susan was like a daughter to her. Evelyn had a good life and was ready to go to her eternal home. She is now hearing the words, "Well done thou good and faithful servant" and walking the streets of gold beside her beloved Saviour.
