Ivan D. Tingley

He was born in Midway on April 11, 1951 the son of the late Clifford and Burdenia (Butland) Tingley.

 

Ivan was a farmer and enjoyed the farm life, it was definitely his passion.  He also drove truck and worked in the woods running chainsaw.  Ivan had a team of horses he took to horse pulls where he thoroughly enjoyed the competition and watching the other teams.  He enjoyed going to the cattle sales in Sussex and making hay in the summer.  Ivan loved his family, his grandchildren were his pride and joy.  Ivan lived life to the fullest and had a great sense of humour, Ivan's laugh will be remembered by all who knew him. " It isn't the farm that makes the farmer, it's the love, hard work and character."  

 

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Beulah Tingley; daughters, Penny Robinson (Gerald) of Petitcodiac and Jennifer Rossiter (Kevin) of Riverside-Albert; his treasured grandchildren, Mitchell and Garrett , Kyle and Keri; his brothers, Harley Tingley of Quispamsis, Mansel Tingley (Louise) of Hopewell Cape and Russell Tingley (Rolla) of Alma; brothers-in-law, Leslie Weir (Donna) of Shediac and Richard Weir (Doris) of Riverside-Albert; sister-in-law, Betty Elliott (Kevin) of Oshawa.  He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and many good friends.  

 

Besides his parents he was predeceased by sister-in-law, Linda Tingley.

 

He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday evening from 6-9pm.  The funeral service and Celebration of his life will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home onThursday , December 6th, 2018 at 11:00am with Pastor Paul Steeves officiating.  Interment will be in the Bayview Cemetery, Harvey, NB, in the spring.

 

In lieu of flowers donations to the Bayview Cemetery, Riverside-Albert Volunteer Fire Department or charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated.
