Gladys MacDonald
1928-2018
Gladys MacDonald, 90, of Riverview passed away peacefully on October 12th, 2018 at her home.
Gladys was born
in Colpitt's Settlement on March 6th, 1928 the
daughter of the late Vibert and Hilda
(Power) Colpitts.
Gladys was a housewife and mother, her main goal in life
was raising her family in a loving, caring environment. She
also was a faithful member of the New Life Pentecostal Church and the
Apostolic Lighthouse Pentecostal Church and her faith was very
important to her. Gladys attended church regularly and she
always had her Bible near. She was very independent and
lived alone in her apartment with calls by her family, just to see how
things were going. Gladys will be remembered for her great
sense of humour, her sweet smile and warm and welcoming personality.
"To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose
under heaven. " Ecclesiastes 3:11
She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Diana Smith
(John) of Campbelton and
Karen Leggett (Phillip) of Ontario; son-in-law,
Leroy Hayward of Riverview; her 10 treasured grandchildren,
her 12 precious great grandchildren and 9 cherished great- great
grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Danahy of
Riverside-Albert; step-brother,
Robert Prosser (Betty) of Salisbury. She
will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and by all her church
family.
Besides her parents and step-mother, Mary; she was
predeceased by her first husband, Bruce Steeves, second
husband, Carnwath MacDonald; son, Arthur; daughters, Shirley
(Glen Gosnell) and Mary Ann Hayward; an infant brother; brother,
Ernest and sisters, Annie, Jessie, Viola and Frances.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with
visitation on Saturday evening from 7-9pm. The funeral
service will be held at the Apostolic Lighthouse Pentecostal Church,
332 Bailey Road, Riverview on Sunday, October 14th, 2018 at 3:00pm
with Rev.D. J. Arbeau officiating. Interment will be in the
Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB.
Donations to the the charity of the donor's choice would be
greatly appreciated.
