Eva Grace Weir, 81, of Amherst, NS and formerly of
Petitcodiac and Riverside-Albert, NB, passed away peacefully
on March 19th, 2018 at Shannex Northumberland Hall,
Amherst.
Eva was born in Harvey, NB on January 9, 1937 the daughter
of the late Basil and Reta (Brewster) Duffy.
She was a homemaker and was a kind and caring person who
loved looking after people. She took her care
giving abilities to a new level when she ran a nursing home in
Petitcodiac in the 70's. She enjoyed knitting and making
mittens, scarves, socks and afghans for her loved ones. She
used to sell Avon and thoroughly enjoyed all the friends and
colleagues she met over the years when selling products
door-to- door. She will be remembered for her sweet
smile. We love you Mom and you will live in our
hearts forever.
She will be deeply missed by her sons, Gregory (Loretta) of
Lower Coverdale, Graydon of Hillsborough, Christopher
(Victoria) of Stoney Creek and Adrian of Riverview, her 10
grandchildren and her great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary
Tingley (Cyril) of Harvey, Ethel Duffy-Ries (Roy) of Harvey
and Ruby Morrisey of Riverside-Albert. She will also be
missed by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by daughter Vickie;
son Graham; granddaughter Laura; sisters Helena and Ruth;
brother, James and by the father of her boys, Carney
Weir.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with
visitation on Thursday evening March 22nd from 7 to 9
pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County
Funeral Home on Friday, March 23rd, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev.
Geoff deJong and Rev. Gordon Horsman
officiating. Following the service, the family will
be meeting with relatives and friends for further sharing
of memories and for refreshments at the funeral
home. Interment will be in the Fair Haven
Memorial Gardens, Moncton,
NB.

appreciated.
