Louise Elizabethe Butland

1954-2018

Louise Elizabethe Butland

Louise Butland ,63, of Alma passed away peacefully on February 13th, 2018 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.

Louise was born in Saint John on September 16, 1954 the daughter of the late Lloyd and Frances (Douthwright) Tucker.

Louise was a member of the Lower Cape Baptist Church.  She worked for years at the Alma Village office as Administrator and was he go to person in Alma for all your needs. Louise loved her little  Village of Alma.  She was the type of person who never let anything stand in her way.  In her later years she bought a motorcycle and got her license to travel all over the area.  She organized many scenic tours known as "Weezie's Run" an annual event for a few years until her health prevented her from riding.  She loved animals and especially her boxer's and little pug, they had a special place in her heart.  Louise also enjoyed music and going to music nights.  She will definitely be remembered for outgoing personality and her great sense of humour.  She didn't want a lot of fuss over her when she was gone,  but would appreciate the support you can give Russell and Brad as they carry on.  Remember the good times and all the laughs you had. " What we keep in Memory is ours forever."

She will be deeply missed by her husband and best friend, Russell Butland; son, Brad Butland (Kate) of Moncton; her precious granddaughter, Amelia; sister, Nancy Geldart of Dieppe; brothers, Edmund Geldart of Riverview and Aulden Geldart (Robin) of Elgin; her special cousin, Ethel Horsman (Robert) of Meductic (who was like a sister) and good friend Elsie O'Regan of Hillsborough.  She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and by all her community.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by a sister, Edna Edgett (Avery).

Honouring Louise's own wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Interment will be held in the Hopewell Cemetery Hopewell Hill, NB at a later date.

For those wishing to make a donation in memory of Louise, donations to the Lower Cape Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated.

The family would like to say a very special thank you to Nancy, Ethel and Elsie for being there when needed,  for all the visits and staying overnight at the hospital, never leaving Louise's side.  Also to the doctors and nurses at the Moncton Hospital and Dr. Georges L-Dumont Hospital for all the excellent care given.  The kindness and support you gave during her illness will never be forgotten.

Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral Home, 4130 Route 114, Hopewell Cape, NB, E4H-3K2 734-2780
