Carol Elsie (Rossiter) Nelson
Carol was born in Alma, April 8, 1945, the daughter of the late Gordon and Irene (Bernier) Rossiter. She was a member of the Valley Baptist Church. Carol loved being around people and worked retail and the service industry for several years before her retirement. She had lots of anecdotes from her days as an interpreter at the Hopewell Rocks and kept in touch with former co-workers from her days at Sobeys. She loved her family very much and felt blessed when she was with them. She also had a special place in her heart for her little dogs, Patches and Pebbles, who had become a part of her family. Besides her family and dogs, close to her heart was reading a good book at home or at the beach. In the summer, she could often be found spending time at her trailer near the shore, and in winter you could be sure that she would head down south to Cuba for a couple of weeks of sunshine.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Denise Tingley (Howard) of Hillsborough, Troy Nelson of Moncton and Aaron Nelson (Cathy) of Hillsborough; her treasured grandchildren, Erica (Shawn), Garrett, Alison, Becca, Caroline, Samuel and Alexander and her precious great grandchildren, Summer and Stella; sisters Doreen Steeves of Hillsborough, Jean Taylor of Edgett's Landing; brothers, Malcolm (Ruth) of Alma, John (Bettyanne) of Riverview, Hilyard of Alma, Milburn (Brenda) of South Branch, Earl (Monica) of Riverside-Albert, Roy of Moncton and Eric (Marla) of Alma. She will also be sadly missed several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Herbert "Herbie" Nelson, and sisters, Gertrude and Irene.
