M. Elaine (Barron) Steeves, 69, of Hillsborough
passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2017 at the Moncton Hospital
with her family by her side.
Elaine was born in Moncton on November 29th, 1948 the
daughter of the late Maurice "Mike" Anthony Barron and
Muriel (Pearson) Barron. She was lovingly raised by her
stepmother,Lois (Ives) Barron, as her birth mother passed away when
she was four years old.
Elaine worked at the Moncton Hospital for 15
years. She attended the Hillsborough United
Church. Elaine had a one of a kind personality and loved to
laugh. She would fill the room with her wit and sense of
humour, would love to tell stories of her life experiences and was
always generous, kind and welcoming. When she was more
confined to her home, she did not stay idle. She kept busy
with visitors, crocheting, puzzles, sudoko and reading. She
loved her family very much and was quick to tell everyone of all of
her children and grandchildren’s accomplishments and how
they were doing. They were definitely her pride and
joy. She felt blessed to have met and married Russell, and
cherished their love and time together. She would want
everyone to remember her in happy times and to have a laugh in her
honour as you reminisce and tell funny stories about your times
together. She was a loving and beautiful person.
"May fond memories cling".
She will be deeply missed by her husband,
Russell A. Steeves; daughters Veronica Alward of Edmonton, AB,
Jacqueline Milner (Sergei) of Fall River, NS and Samantha Milner of
Beaumont, AB; son, Michael Milner of Beaumont AB; her treasured
grandchildren, Danielle, Laura, Nicole, Jesse and all of her segregate
sons, daughters and grandchildren; sister, Joan Cameron of
Hillsborough and Frances Steeves (Roy) of Salem Rd.; brothers, David
Ives (Judy) of Harvey Station and John Ives of Winnipeg, MB.
She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and by all of
