Daisy Belle Taylor

 

Daisy Belle Taylor, 85, of Forest Dale Home, Riverside-Albert, formerly of Hillsborough and Edgett's Landing, passed away peacefully on September 13th, 2017 at the nursing home with her family by her side.

 

Daisy was born in Newport Station, Hants County, NS on June 29th, 1932, the daughter of the late Earle and Daisy (Rhodenizer) Fletcher.  Daisy was a faithful member of the Salem Baptist Church and attended whenever she could.  She helped her husband Jim run Taylor's Grocery in Edgett's Landing for 15 years.  Daisy had a great sense of humour, she enjoyed joking around and having a good laugh. She was one of a kind and will be remembered for her feisty ways.  She loved her family very much and thought the world of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is now reunited with all her family and having a beautiful reunion with her loved ones gone before her.  " The loss of a mother is the first sorrow in life that we face without her." 

 

She will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Deborah Smith (Robert) of Weldon and Deanna Dempsey (Brian) of Riverview; son-in-law, Dennis Colwell of Weldon; her cherished grandchildren, Nancy (Travis), Terri (Tony), Dwayne (Alison), Deidra (Andrew), Wendell (Tymathy), Jeremy (Nadine) and Melissa (Albert) and precious great grandchildren, Jenna, Amber, Jaymes, Dayna, Teagan and Tylar; sister, Georgie Walsh (Jack) of Bridgewater, NS and brother, Elroy Fletcher (Helen) of Amherst, NS.  She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and all her extended family.  

 

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband Ralph "Jim" Taylor; daughter, Darla Colwell; sisters, Esther Fownes (Vernon), Audrey Lyttle (Lloyd), Muriel Boyd (James), Marjorie LeBlanc (Francis); brothers, Earle Fletcher (Dorothy) and Laurie Fletcher.

 

She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday evening from 7-9pm.  The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Friday, September 15th, 2017 at 2:00pm with Pastor Dan Steeves officiating.  Interment will be in the Grey's Island Cemetery, Hillsborough, NB.  Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further sharing of memories and for refreshments at the funeral home.
