Aileen M. (DeWolfe) Johnston
1932-2017
Aileen M. Johnston,85, passed away on July 13th, 2017 at The Moncton City Hospital.
Aileen was born in Germantown NB, on June 7th, 1932 the
daughter of the late Sylvester and Arreta (Matthews)
DeWolfe.
She was a housewife and caretaker, she unselfishly looked
after her mother during her aging years. She enjoyed
quilting, crocheting, and was very proud of her stamp collection and
salt & pepper collection. Aileen was very strong
minded, once she made up her mind, that was that. Although
Aileen didn't have any children of her own, she had a special place in
her heart for her nieces and nephews, most of which lived near by.
They knew that if they ever needed something she was never too far
away. Her door was always open to her family and friends.
"What we keep in memory is ours forever"
She will be deeply missed by her brother Meldon DeWolfe
(Telfa) of West River, NB and by Nephews, Kevin DeWolfe (Sue) of Alma,
John DeWolfe (Terry) and Michael DeWolfe both of West River; nieces,
Kathy Tower (Kenny) of Germantown, Ruth DeWolfe (Terry) of Alma, Lia
DeWolfe (Gardner) of Albert Mines and Heather DeWolfe of Hillsborough;
several cherished great nieces and nephews and several precious
great-great grand nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving
husband John Johnston; brother Floyd DeWolfe; sister-in-law, Phyllis
DeWolfe; nephew Robert; and by a very special cousin
Evelyn.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with
