Peira Olive Whent
1930-2017
Peira Whent, of Hillsborough, passed away peacefully at the UHC Dr Georges L Dumont, Moncton, NB, June 6, 2017. Born in Port Elgin, Ontario, November 20, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Leota (Steeves) Pickering.
She will be missed by her children, Lori, Judy, Marilyn, Donna, Linda, William and David, several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her siblings, Charles Pickering, North Carolina, and Linda Duffy (Wesley), Hillsborough, and several cousins. Peira was predeceased by her first husband, David Maich and her second husband, Jack Whent.
There will be no visitation or funeral as Peira requested. There will be a private Committal Service at a later date. Memories of Peira, will be shared at the Sunday Service, 10:00am at the Hillsborough United Church, 2891 Main Street.
Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral Home. In Peira’s memory donations can be made to Charity of donor’s choice.
