Kathleen "Kay" Marie Tower
1926-2017
Kathleen Marie Tower "Aunt Kay", 90, of Forest Dale Home, Riverside-Albert passed away on Sunday, May 7th,2017 at the home.
Kathleen was born in Hillsborough on June 15th, 1926, the
daughter of the late Joseph and Ella (Mitton) Tower.
Kathleen resided most of her life with her sister,
Geraldine and brother-in-law, Donald and their family. She
never married or had any children of her own but had a special bond
with her nieces and nephews. She went to the Forest Dale
Home and it became her home for the past 14 years. Kay
became close to a lot of residents and their families. She
enjoyed the activities at the home and always liked to participate,
especially bowling and bingo. She also enjoyed the many
outing they went on, the annual trips to the Albert County Exhibition
and also annual trips to the mall for Christmas shopping.
Kay cherished the simple things in life and always had a sweet smile
or a shy hello for everyone she met. Her faith was also very
important to her and she is now at peace with her Lord and Saviour.
"Going Home"
She will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews;
Heather (Richard), Susan (Hugh), Joanne (Donald), Jeff (Juanita),
Donald (Darlene), Linda, Nancy (Dwight), Doreen (Conrad), Judy, Ronnie
(Sharon), and Thelma. She will also be missed by many great
nieces and nephews; many great-great nieces and nephews and by all
other extended family and friends.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister,
Geraldine
(Donald) and Pearl; brothers, William
"Bill", Labin and John; nieces Joy and Mildred and nephew,
Gerald.
Kathleen will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home
with visitation for one hour prior to the service. The
funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home
on Wednesday,
May 10th, 2017 at 2:00pm with Rev. Donald J.
Arbeau and Rev. Donald R. Arbeau officiating. Interment will
be in the Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton, NB.
Donations to the Forest Dale Home Nursing Home or to the
charity of the donor's choice would be greatly
appreciated.
