Eileen Alma Burns
Eileen Alma Burns, 87, of Briarlea Nursing Home, Moncton passed away peacefully on January 21st, 2017at her residence.
 
Eileen was born in Moncton on April 5th, 1929 the daughter of the late Bud and Alma (Poirier) Burlock.
 
She worked in Ontario for a number of years but last worked with her husband, they owned and operated Stedman's in Hillsborough before their retirement. Eileen enjoyed golfing , knitting and travelling.  She has traveled all over the world and felt blessed to have seen so many different cultures and landscapes over the years.  Her time has come and she must be enjoying the view from up above.  "To everything there is a season, And a time for every purpose under heaven." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
 
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Linda McCormack (John) of Dieppe; her treasured grandchildren, Lisa (Melanie) of Bedford, NS and Ken (Alana) of Coquitlam, BC; brothers, Fred Burlock (Bert) of Collingwood, ON, Leonard Burlock (Sandy) of Burlington, ON; sister-in-law, Arlene St.Pierre (Paul) of Riverview.  She will also be missed by her step-sons, Tom, Geoffrey, Vince and Doug; several nieces and nephews and by all her extended family.
 
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth Burns and second husband, Geoff Pilmoor ; brother, Gordon; sisters, Sadie, Pearl and Glady.
 
Honoring Eileen's own wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be in the Jonah Cemetery, Dawson Settlement, NB at a later date.
 
For those who wish donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
 
A special thank you to the Staff and owners of Briarlea Home for the excellent care of Eileen, you all went above and beyond.   We felt like all the nurses were part of the family and the care was so personal and kind, all the support will never be forgotten.
