Katie (Fenton) Wilson
1929-2016
Katie Wilson of Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home formerly of
Hillsborough has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour, she passed away
peacefully on August 13th, 2016 at the nursing home.
Katie was born in Edgett's Landing on April 16th, 1929, the
daughter of the late John and Flossie (Christopher) Fenton.
She was a faithful member of the Valley Baptist Church. She
had a special place in her heart for children. She taught Sunday
School for many years, was involved with Pioneer Girls and active with
the church camp when it was running and also worked with the Mission
Band. She was a Coordinator with Child Evangilsm for over 25
years in which she ran the Good News Club at the Hillsborough
Elementary School and the Backyard Bible Club from her own home.
Katie's quiet and gentle ways helped bring the message of her Saviour
to many children in the area. She led by example by putting
her God first, faithful wife to her husband and being a mom and
grandmother a close second. She would want everyone to
follow the example given in the bible and live as she did;
"Jesus said unto him,
Thou shalt love the Lord
thy God with all thy heart, and with
all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first
and great
commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as
thyself.
She is now hearing
the words she longed to hear "Well done my good and faithful
servant."
She will be deeply
missed by her devoted children, Gene Wilson of Riverview, Phyllis
Steeves (Brian) of Weldon, Dale Wilson (Elizabeth) of Fredericton;
daughter-in-law, Patricia Wilson of Riverview; treasured
grandchildren, Matthew (Vanaissa), Corey (Vanessa), James, Thomas,
Jenny and Samuel and precious great grandchildren, Molly and
Jack. She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and

member of her immediate family.
Besides her parents
she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Reg; sons,
Donald ,Terry and infant daughter, Ellen; sisters, Ruby, Ada and
Edith; brothers, Charles, Eldon, Ted, Cam and
