Arthur Tingley

1934-2016

Arthur Tingley
Arthur Tingley, 82, of Fownes Manor Special Care Home, Hopewell Hill passed away peacefully on May 24th, 2016 at the home.

Arthur was born in Germanbrook, Albert County on January 15th, 1934 the son of the late Darcy and Harriett (Gough) Tingley.  Art was a very special person who always had a "hello" and a smile for everyone he met.  He knew a lot of people in Albert and surrounding areas and he never forgot a face. He enjoyed spending time outside and biking when he was able.  He looked forward to all the outings with the Canadian Mental Health Association Group; bowling at Forest Dale Home, Christmas parties, picnics and was always ready to lend a hand at all the gatherings. He made many friends over the years and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. "Just a smile away"

He will be deeply missed by his brother, George Tingley (Elmonde) of Hillsborough; sister-in-law, Marion Tingley- Corey of Moncton and by several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters, Alice and Marion; brothers, James, Willard (Margaret), Charles (Stella) and Melvin.

He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 27th, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Paul Steeves officiating. Interment will be in the Bayview Cemetery, Harvey, NB.
