Effie Estella Cleveland

Effie Estella Cleveland, 88, of Forest Dale Home formerly of Hillsborough and Emery House in Riverview, where she resided for 12 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 25th, 2016 at her residence.

 

Effie was born in West River on July 3rd, 1927 the daughter of the late Harry and Maggie (Knowlton) Cleveland.    When she was 8 years old circumstances made it so she went to the home of Fred and Nina Beaumont, who loving raised Effie from this time. Effie was a member of the Hillsborough Baptist Church.  she was a member of the Hillsborough Seniors Club and loved playing cards, doing puzzles and had a huge collection of teddy bears and dolls. She loved all types of music and really enjoyed going to the music nights when she was able.  Effie always had a very big grin when she was having fun or talking with her friends.  She will be remembered for her contagious smile and laugh.

 

She will be missed by several nieces and nephews; her close friends she made at Emery House; her Church Family and Forest Dale Home Family.

 

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brothers, Henry Cleveland, Glen Beaumont, Marven Beaumont, Leroy Beaumont and Lloyd Beaumont; sister, Jean ( Beaumont) Hayward. 

 

 The funeral service and celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, January 28th, 2016 at the Hillsborough Baptist Church, 26 Braam Crescent, Hillsborough at 2:00 pm with Rev. Geoff deJong and Rev. Dean MacDonald officiating.  Visitation will take place at the church from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Edgett's Landing in the spring.
